These days, some individuals suppose that the certain aim of schools is to teach about a good citizens and employee rather to advantage them as people. I completely disagree with this idea and in this essay I will support my opinion with example.
Firstly, in most countries, the government spend a large amount of moneyvon public education. By providing education, children will be equipped with all the essential knowledge to preparing them for the adults in the future. They will learn academic knowledge in order to find a job easily down the road and make a living after graduation. As a result, these well-educated citizens can contribute to society.
On the other hand, there is an argument that the schools’ purpose has never been about learning new information and basic skills only. Not only must the offsprings be taught basic skills, but also the schools must focus on turning children into good citizen. Moreover, the teachers wi’ll help to children what is important in life and what role offsprings will play in their world. For instance, the teachers instruct the difference between good and bad thing. I do believe that there are many advantages of this argument.
In conclusion, it seems to me that the main aim of schools should educate children. However, individuals will also benefit from turning into good citizens. Personally, I do believe that the children should be taught academic knowledge at school.
