It is crucial for businesses to be successful and everything they do are based on this goal. As a result, there are ongoing debates about what real success means. Most people think that a success of businesses is related to the level of their profits. I think it is hard to find a definite answer to this question. Therefore, the success depends on people’s perception, which varies from people to people.
On the one hand, it is clear that money is important due it’s role as a catalyst in any business processes. Precisely, both establishing a business and running business operations require appropriate fundings. For instance, if a cafe does not generate enough revenues, it will be impossible to continue to run it. Since the owners must pay for workers’ salaries, taxes, and to obtain raw materials. Moreover, the majority of companies set a goal to obtain as much money as possible. Furthermore, the journalists who publish statistics about the most successful companies usually collect information based on their profits. In short, it is undeniable that money plays a crucial role in making business successful, and it would be an indicator of it, but there are other factors which are also at play.
The factors that are also considered as an indicator of business success involve benefits the company provides and its long-term goals. In particular, some companies are mostly benefit-oriented aiming to making people’s life more easy. Therefore, some people believe that the companies that achieved real success are those that provide more benefits to society. For instance, even though Elon Mask is the richest man in the world his company Tesla was not profitable at all. However, many people thought that this company was listed in the top five most successful companies in the world. Secondly, some companies are aiming at reaching the goals in the long term way. For example, Barbola was not considered as a potential one, even though this company manifested great profits. In comparison Coca Cola with small profits were able to reach a top thanks to their long term goals.
To conclude, it is a common belief that success of a business is based on its profitability rather than on other factors. Nevertheless, there are other factors which play a crucial role in building successful businesses.
