It is often believed that working hard while being focused and determined is the key to a successful life. While some people argue that these factors are predominant in shaping one’s future, others think that being rich and good-looking have a big hand over it. This essay will discuss both these points of view and argue in the favor of latter.
On the one hand, some professions require years of dedication to complete their course of study and settle in their respective fields. On an average a medical student might spend 2 years to prepare for NEET exam and if they get selected in a government college then it takes around 10 years in completing the degree to become a doctor. Similarly, a person might not be a great speaker but with correct guidance and practice they can ace their public speaking skills.
On the other hand, many opportunities are given on the basis of appearance no matter how less talented the person is. Jobs which require people to be in front like sales and marketing often select employees on the basis of their looks and that could be because employees with strong personalities and good-looks can influence the consumers to buy their products easily. Undoubtedly, socio economic and monetary factors plays an important role for a successful life. People belonging to business families are born with a silver spoon and are trained from a young age to grow the family business. In the same way, an actor’s child wouldn’t have to worry about their future prospects since they would always have an option to work in the acting industry and any director would happy welcome them because of nepotism.
In conclusion, great things are achievable in life when one is thoroughly dedicated as well as motivated to become successful in life because hard work always pays off. However, I agree that having generational wealth is topmost the only factor which can dominate a person’s years of hard work. From a professional degree to a lavish lifestyle, everything can be bought by the power of money.
