The future of international travel is a topic of debate, with some predicting potential decline in number of people journeying abroad. In my opinion while this trend may have negative impact on country economy, it also has an adverse effect on open-mindedness of people.
Government spend adequate amount of money to conserve and maintain monuments that attracts large number of tourism.When tourists visit these monuments, they contribute to the economy by spending money on accommodation, food, transportation, and souvenirs. Moreover, tourism helps in boosting per capita income, as multiple job opportunities are created in hospitality, leisure and food industries.A decline number of tourism can cause the reduced number of revenues, it could result in job-losses, financial hardships and economic turndown for communities dependent on tourism related income.
Furthermore, decline in international travel may also impact the open-mindedness of people. International travel expose an individual to learn about diverse culture, perspectives and ways of life. By immersing themselves in unfamiliar environment and interacting with people individual foster cross culture understanding and empathy. Limited number of international travel will hindered the process of cultural exchange which will impact the development of acceptance in people.
