It is held by some people that zoological parks need to be shuttered because of their cruelty towards animals. While others think that zoos can serve as wild parks for protection of them, i strongly believe that the removement of all animal parks would bring more benefits to the environment because they physically and mentally abuse wild species and spoil young generations in terms of tolerance.
Confinement of wild animals in jars for entertainment and short-lasting pleasure has been considered as a human cruelty with far-reaching consequences. As an example, the increasing risk of extinction of tigers; only less than four thousands exist nowadays because of the unpleasant artificial conditions created in zoos, where the most species could not survive. For the reason that animals are better adapted to their natural habitats, it is almost impossible for them to feel satisfied with the conditions offered by people. So, putting them in a noisy and uncontrolled social environment for entertaining intentions might lead to serious mental issues, as aggression, depression or anxiety.
Another reason for this- is bad example for youngsters for how they should treat other inhabitants of the earth, as the existence of zoos totally confirms the fact, that humanity still tolerates violence towards nature. Many parents in my country bring their children to wild parks to show confined animals for fun and pleasure, however it leads to the loss of empathy and basic human sympathy in young children. It is obvious that all moral principles, such as respect and kindness towards nature, are formed in an early age. That’ why the visits to a place, where animals are obligated to stay and handle stress unwillingly, is definitely the worst option of human development.
In conclusion, for the further development of better attitude towards nature and invasion of basic tolerance to younger generations, it is very essential to close down zoological entertainment areas, that are still being tolerated by most people. In my opinion, more adequate alternatives like natural reserves, where wildlife lives freely and is still protected, could be realized instead of keeping those poor creatures in captivity.
