People have two different view about the role of zoo in animal protection. While some individuals argue that the zoo subject animals to cruelty and believe that the should be shut down, I personally think that the zoo play an important part in protecting endangered species.
On the one hand, there are several reason why it is essential to shut down zoos. Firstly, the zoo deprive animals of their freedom. Some zoos exploit them gain profits. For example, they were use elephants, tigers, monkeys in the performances circus. Secondly, keeping them in captivity make they losing of survival instinct. It leads to stress and depression, that is main reason, which is pose heavy threat to their overall well being.
On the other hand, despite the fact that zoo animal run a risk of losing their initial wildness, I strongly believe that zoos should not be closed. One of the reasons is that these places play an important part in ensure the wildlife, the zoos where are indispensable to the protection of animals on the brink of extinction. In addition, It brings lot of useful for endangered animals avoid hunting by rare animals and poachers, allow them have a safe living enviroment.
In conclusion, although there are many people who support closing the zoo,because believe that this helps animals regain their free live. It seems to me that it would better to let the zoos continue open.
