It has been argued that while dealing with challenging conditions, such as working in an unsatisfying job or not having a substantial income, can be seen as a delicate option, others believe that improving their lives is key to overcoming these obstacles. Therefore, this essay will elaborate on these opposing views regarding this phenomenon.
Working in an unfulfilling job can decrease job satisfaction and increase turnover intentions among employees. When individuals are unhappy at work due to unpleasant colleagues or a lack of respect from superiors, their interest in resigning from the job also increases. Additionally, having expenses that exceed one’s income can lead to taking out loans from banks, relatives, or friends. Improving one’s living condition can be considered one of the best options for overcoming such challenges.
By developing or learning new soft skills, individuals can enhance abilities that they might not have recognized within themselves, which can be beneficial both in and out of the office. For example, learning widely spoken languages, such as Chinese – which has a significant impact on manufacturing – and Japanese, which is known for its advanced technology, can lead the way for further digitalization. In other words, being proficient in multiple languages can open up new opportunities by building valuable connections.
To sum up, although some people may find that accepting challenging conditions is the best approach, I believe that improving ourselves in the face of difficulties, as many others do, offers greater chances for success in this phenomenon.
