In the modern world people are becoming more dependent on technology. Some assert that this development makes our life more complex. However, I do not agree with this statement since modern technology can make our work life easier and create smoother communication. In this essay, I am going to present the rationales behind my arguments along with relevant examples.
Firstly, with the blessing of technology, repetitive and complex work becomes automated. In addition, intricated mathematical works also can be performed by computers. As a result, work speed and accuracy increases in business and offices. Moreover, day to day communication is also improved by introducing new social platforms like facebook, instagram as well as formal platforms, such as email and linkedin. People can easily communicate with their family and friends in any emergency situation. Similarly, people can transfer important documents and files through email. Several office meetings can be conducted on zoom or googlemeet. Technology also brings benefit to the education system specially by introducing distance learning facilities. Students who can not avail education facililities for distance location, now can avail by using online classroom facilities. Teaching methods are also improved through these technologies, for example, students can reasily learn and understand at their own way and speed with the help of recorded class materials. Thus all the sectors get the benefit of technology.
However there are some drawbacks of technology. Since technology reduces the face to face communication, relationships between families and friends become complex and vulnerable. People tend to spend their time on scrolling their phones and newsfeeds. Since they usually do not spend time on family and children, emotional distance would be increased and relationships will be complex. Moreover, unethical activities like online fraud, scamming, hacking, cyber bullying have also increased because of these technologies. However, with proper measures like ethical learning and responsible use can reduce these problems.
To conclude I would like to restate my original point that the advantages of technology outweigh the disadvantages. I think technology makes our life easier than before. Both communication and day to day works become easy and convenient for this development. With proper guidance and restrictions we can solve the negative aspects of this advancement.
