While some indiviuals assume that people should have unlimited access to fresh water, others are in favour of strict government regulations on the effective use of water sources. This essay will discuss these given opinions and give a concluding view.
First and foremost, water is one the basic needs of humans all over the world. People usually meet their demands by using water sources in cooking, washing, and even agriculture. They are in the opinion of that having unlimited access to fresh water is their fundamental right. In other words, the regulations imposed by governments can lead to severe problems among people as the suggested amount of water for being used will not be able to fulfill their basic necessitities. This will inevitably impact the dwellers of the countrysides who mainly rely on agriculture, which is their main income source.
On the other hand, government control on the consumption of freshwater is highly advised by some individuals. Water is a finite and precise natural resource, and its misuse may lead to some problems such as degredation, water contamination, and even the loss of aquatic sources. With the help of government regulations, the citizens of the countries will be accountable of the amount water used by per person. This will enable humans use water sources effectively in order not to be punished by public authority. In my opinion, strict rules imposed by the government might be a remedy for dealing with the loss of water sources, which can have an adverse on the future of our planet.
