There is an ongoing debate about whether higher education should be free for all students or whether individuals should bear the cost through tuition fees.
On the one hand, everyone should study, but nowadays a large number of universities charge tuition fees. It means so many students can not study in the universities. The government should open or provide free education because it will be productive for the future. Some universities give scholarships, but not enough for the public because scholarships are limited. Nowadays, actually, only rich people study in universities, but we can see a small number of ordinary people in universities. Moreover, free education encourages talented individuals to pursue careers based on their abilities rather than their financial situation.
On the other hand, people should pay tuition fees because if they pay, they study because they spent so much money for education. In my opinion, education should be paid for because it is profitable for both. If people pay for the universities, the government can get profit and also students will try to study hard because of tuition fees. Paying for education can also help universities maintain better facilities and hire qualified academic staff.
In conclusion, universities should be paid, but they have to provide more scholarships for students. Then so many scholars study hard to get scholarships from universities.
