Band 7+: Some people think young people should be required to have full time education until they are at least 18 years old. To what extent do you agree or disagree

Note: Both the topic and the essay were created by one of our users.

There is an ongoing debate about whether young people should remain in full-time education until the age of 18 or start working and receive vocational training before this age. While some people believe that entering the workforce early and investing more time in vocational training can be beneficial, I strongly believe that young people should focus primarily on their education and achieve academic success.

On the one hand, some people believe that working from an early age and investing more in vocational training can be more beneficial and offer many opportunities. This means that young individuals can begin building their career, gain valuable experience, and develop personally at a young age. For instance, in many countries, young people spend their holidays participating in vocational training programmes, providing them with additional income and practical experience. Furthermore, working from an early age can help young people become more responsible and independent, as they learn how to manage their time and finances, communicate effectively with others, and understand the value of money. However, most entrepreneurs prefer to hire employees who have high qualifications. Before the age of 18, young people are often limited to low-skilled jobs, such as working in cafes. This may lead to negative consequences in the future, including health problems when getting older.

On the other hand, I strongly agree with the statement that teenagers should spend their full time on education until the age of 18. In other words, if young individuals mainly focus on their education, they can offer high-skilled jobs and get high qualifications, as a result they contribute well-paid. For instance, most successful people devoted themselves to full-time education before pursuing their careers, which enabled them to achieve their goals and succeed professionally. In addition, remaining in education until the age of 18 allows teenagers to explore different subjects and identify their strengths and interests. As a result, they can make more informed career decisions and choose professions that are better suited to their abilities.

In conclusion, although starting a career from an early age offers more experience and develops personality, it has negative consequences in the future for the health of teenagers. I strongly agree that teenagers should concentrate on education because it offers more opportunities and help them to find suitable professions exploring all skills.
