In the contemporary world, education plays vital role in every individual’s life. Some people strongly contend that young people should be into education all the free time until the age of 18. In this essay I will describe all the reasons why I disagree with this statement and provide some examples.
One significant point in favor of this view is the fact that elderly people significantly prioritise education over leisure time and other aspects of younger people’s activities. Excessive amount of studying can trigger mental and physical diseases like burnout or anxiety, leading to the subsequent degradation of their overall wellbeing. Research from American Psychologist Association indicates that more than a half of students are placed under stress by their parents, demanding favorable outcomes in the domain of education. More and more students are doing their best to accomplish their goals, and it can still be not enough. This is the main reason of widespread depression among learners. As a result, it causes multifaced detrimental effects on overall children’s wellbeing.
Another reason is that time given to young people before their early adulthood is the the most free time they’ll ever have. Many individuals remember this time with happy memories, and why would we want to deprive it from younger generations? Moreover, free time can temporarily unwind them from educational concerns and give opportunity to do their comfort hobbies. From me perspective, we need to strike a balance between studying and time off in order to foster students’ productivity and creativity, and this can lead to a better academic performance and future career success.
In conclusion, although education is essential for young people’s future employment, time off is vitable for the creation of their identity. Adults should let them choose independently how to schedule daily activities in order to develop their time management.
