Band 5+: Some people view teenage conflict with their parents as a necessary part of growing up, whilst others view it as something negative which should be avoided. Discuss both views and give your own opinion.

Note: Both the topic and the essay were created by one of our users.

In the modern era, there is a significant question about conflicts among parents and youngsters. Some adults think it is a period of their growth. However, others assume that it is a blatant provocation and this a skirmish could be avoided. This essay will examine both perspectives before presenting my own reasoned opinion.

On the one hand, teenagers’ mentality is an unsustainable and surly behaviour can come any tiny things. Moreover, a large part of parents who bring up teens understand that now they are going through a difficult psychological stage and some “serious” conflicts are just a splash of emotions. According to a research by Harvard university that youngsters don’t enter deliberately into conflicts, often it happens as result of a mental fatigue.

One the other hand, people believe that any conflicts are provocation by teenagers and they lose tempers uncontrollably. For instance, in the Russian Federation a lot of parents turn to psychologists with complaints about an unsustainable behaviour of their children and think that is a huge problem with their mind. However, doctors explain that it is a not big deal with mind, it is about their organism and hormones.

From my perspective, I am a youngster too and I understand brilliant how to have entanglements with parents. I always try to sidestep discords and speak about any troubles without starting conflicts.

In conclusion, there are positive and negative opinions about a period of growth. Although, I assume that it is normal to be more short- tempered in this significant time for teens.

Some people argue that primary schools focus too much on formal learning and do not give children enough time to play.
