Band 7+: Some people work harder than others. Why is this? Is this a positive or negative habit?

Note: Both the topic and the essay were created by one of our users.

The notion that some individuals are committed to their professions more than others is a popular one. While it can be attributed to having personal goals and ambitions, desire for recognition and growth, I also think it is a

positive habit as it gives people a sense of self-satisfaction, resilience, and leadership. People work hard for various purposes. One may be doing all of the hardwork becuase of his/her dreams and goals. They do all of the neceassary steps to achieve them and try not to look back. Others are driven by the notion to help others, thinking they can make a positive impact to the community. Endeavoring years of their own lives in order to help to financially disabled ones serves as a catalyst for others to do the same. Moreover, being born in a family with financial disadvantages also triggers a sense of motion in people towars working harder than others so that their children will not experience the same way of lives that they had. Beyond that, in companies individuals strive for promotions and that requires immense amount of hardships. Getting several promotions makes them famous and ensures the safety of their family financially at the same time.

Although one may achieve his/her goals at the cost of golden youth and teen years, working harder as opposed to others is still a positive development. This is bceause in the process of working hard towards ambitions, people undeniably fail numerous times. Those moments can be called milestones in ones’ journey of lives because they teach how to be a good leader who can analyze all the available options and choose the optimal one and be someone who has the resilience, and who can teach others how to be one. What I mean by this is that as people fail over and over, they form resilience to cope with different harships, such as bankrupts, failure, and so on. Furthermore, a person not only gains experience but also feels a sensation of satisfaction inside. Working on themselves, getting better at what they do trully help to grow faster than their peers and feel self-confident.

In conclusion, the reasons behind the sentiment are personal ambitions, the idea of helping others, being stable financially. The notion is a positive one as accelerated growth, really nice leadership skills, unbreakable resilience can be the rewards.
