Advertisements of toys and snacks targetted at children are debatable issue. Some argue that such ads should be banned due to their significant impact not only on children, but also on their parents. I agree with this view, as the negative sides outweigh any benefits.I will support this opinion with arguments in the following paragraphs.
Firstly, kids like to experience the things they see, which makes them vulnerable. Subsequently, children who watched a lot of snack and fast food advertisements will be willing to consume them too. Consequently, they will be less healthy. According to latest newspaper articles, obesity among youngsters is no longer a miracle. Adults should take actions against a significnat increase in child obesness before it gets even worse. Because, if we want next generation to be healthful, we should restrict ads of unhealthy food.
Secondly, advertisements of toys will awake a sence of materialism among kids. In other words, they will lose a true meaning of happiness. In their opinion, only having expensive and good looking plaything may let them feel pleasure.
Likewise, this may lead to vanity which is not a good personality. It is predicted that such kids will judge people depending on their wealth. What I want to say, allowing plenty of such ads could ruin our children’s mindset.
In conclusion, advertisements aimed at children, particularly regarding harmful snacks and toys, overbalance any advantages. Banning these ads would promote healthier lifestyles and reduce unnecessary consumerism, protecting children from manipulative marketing.
