Band 4+: Some young people find it hard to buy their first house or flat. Do you agree? Write about: - savings - property prices - your own idea

In the last decade contemporary society changed a lot. People want to study abroad, travel, have an international work or marriage. The new generation is open-minded and completely free in their choice.

Firstly, it should be considered that for buying property, a person should have enough saving for this. Never mind it’s a full-paid deal or mortgage. Anyway, the huge amount of money has to be given at once. Not so many youth have such opportunities, especially with low-paid jobs. Others just are not strong in financial literacy.

Coupled with the lack of savings, the price for property are unstable now, in Ukraine it truly depends on the region. For instance, flats and houses on the west side of the country, the safest, have been increasing during last two years in contrast to the falling liquidity of Eastern Ukraine’s property, the dangerous one.

Personally speaking, I really appreciate my parent’s property. Home is a special place for me; cozy, warm and lovely. I can’t even compare to rent a flat for living or live in own one. However it’s natural to separate with parents, so despite on hard times I will be trying to earn, save up and buy a flat for my future family.
