In recent times, famous sportsmen are offered more money than other professionals for advertising. Some people think that it is not fair to treat them specially, while others believe that they deserve it. This essay will discuss both views before explaining why I believe that the treatment is justified.
On the one hand, some individual think that sport professionals need to be treated same as other professionals. One main reason is that they might be serving for the country, but other people are contributing as well. For example, a sports person always represents his country in a large tournament. Though a teacher might not get the stage to represent his country, that does not mean he should be treated lightly and his demand is lower than a sportsman. Therefore, it is totally unfair to give better opportunities to a famous person. However, I think that it is totally fair for a sportsman to earn more.
On the other hand, famous players get good deal of money than any other sometimes. The main reason is that their hard work made them worthy. Moreover, they are very popular among the whole country, and advertisers pick them for their marketing strategies. Because the advertiser knows very well that how his products can reach to the people’s feed through a widely known person. For this reason, they pay more to the sports person than anyone else. For instance, Virat Kohli, the current Indian cricket player, charges the highest amount for any advertisement that he needs to post on his Facebook or Twitter. Therefore, it is the hard work a famous sports person did to achieve a huge level of success, which pays off.
In conclusion, both views have some merit. Although other professionals need to be treated equally, I believe that the contribution and impact a sports person can make is worth enough to offer him a good deal.
