Supporting own producers has positive consequences for a state and I am certain that supermarkets should provide relevant conditions for local manufactures. However at the same time, a population has to obtain enough quantity of various food. This issue will examine goods supplies from my point of view.
The chief reason why local retailerS should promote food produced from own region is developing domestic economy. One of the factors that contribute this aspect is an increase of acquisition possibility of citizens, that in consequences guarantee more income for shops. As a result, more prosperous population would commit more purchases and afford local stores to earn more.
Another special consideration in this case is decreasing of harmful emissions from freight in the reason of lack of necessity of transporting goods from overseas. Consequently, the most obvious result of this change is water and air pollution decreasing dramatically. These coupled factors would lead to healthy society and less deceases which might be even more advantageous.
One issue which is equally significant is that freshness of goods due to the point that transfering products will take less time. If there were local manufacturers in each area, they would avoid adding preservatives to the food variety and supply supermarket shelves more rapidly. Long life milk, tins with cans and chocolate as well tend to be great examples in this case which are less healthy for consumption.
To conclude, thriving local economy and less polluted environment as well as fresh food definitely provide more advantages for the society making these aspects more attractive. Hence, I believe that there is no need to import goods from foreign countries in order to supply the nation.
