Nowadays, many young people tend to spend one year after graduating from the university on travelling. However, some adults presume that it is better to start building the professional career right after receiving a diploma. Personally, I am convinced that it is a good idea to dedicate one year after graduation to travelling for some reasons.
Firstly, while travelling young people can gain great experience that can help them in the future. Students can learn how to live alone in unfamiliar area and how to make foreign friends. They can meet locals and then develop their bonds all over the world. For instance, my friend’s uncle met his best friend in the USA. They had communicated on distance for a long time. Some years later, they set up the international company together just because they travelled in youth and made a friendship.
Secondly, young people are more energetic. They are independent because they do not have families, jobs and other countless duties yet, so they can enjoy life and live for themselves. For example, my dad has so many stories from his youth trips that he has told me. He tried almost all activities as he was very enthusiastic to do some extreme sports and to visit plenty of countries. Today, he does not even go to summer holidays somewhere because he works all time and prefers relaxing at home or in the countryside.
To conclude, I believe that travelling after university has many advantages. Young people can get fabulous memories from this period, broaden their horizons, meet new people and just enjoy life without serious problems.
