It is believed that risks are a necessary part of both professional and personal life. In my opinion, taking risks has more benefits than drawbacks.
Every single job in the world requires making important choices. These choices might result in either growth or failure. One typical risk is capable of many things, such as promoting your work to bigger companies or turning you into an employee of the month. However, it also can put your job in danger, if things don’t go according to plan. The more you learn from risks, the more confident you get when it comes to strict decisions. Regardless of its outcome, taking a risk gives people a chance to gain experience and learn to be responsible for the results.
Personal life is also full of decisions, like applying to college, studying, getting a job, marriage and so on. Even though most people try to take calculated risks, they always affect their life in some way. There are certain times when people change their minds and want to make certain changes in their life, but others see it as taking a big risk. Changing majors, starting to work from home, divorce can be great examples for this. If individuals don’t take a risk, they might regret not taking actions in the future. From my personal experience, I can clearly tell that it’s not as scary as it seems. I have changed school after graduating 8th grade due to the pressure of my teachers. After studying two years at my new school i have never felt more thankful for myself for making the right choice.
In conclusion, despite having serious consequences to face after doing it, taking risks has more advantages for people’s mindset and growth compared to its disadvantages.
