TASK 2
Some people believe that the best way to allow children for being awareness the risk of crimes is for them to be taught by people who were in prison in the past years but now have become good citizens. I am strongly agree with this statement for primary four reasons.
The first reason is the strong impact of real experience. Former prisoners presents live examples from their lives. Their live stories can strongly impact to children than books or theories. Thus, it develops fear and cautious behaviour on them. For instance, the tragic stories of people who were prisoned due to alcohol abuse, drug addiction or crime would be a lesson. The second reason is the motivation of turning into good citizen. Through this way, children see the possibility of returning into good way after crime. This gives them a conclusion named “If you are get away from crime, your life will be more better. So, former convicts will be good example for children. For instance, people who were once in prison do useful work for society, it will be good motivation for children.
The third reason is the prevention. If children know the consequences of crime, they will avoid it. Thus, both parents and schools benefit from this education. This method helps the government to reduce the crime rates in society. Finally, this type of method also increases strong responsibility between society and people. If ex-convicts acknowledge openly their mistakes, children understand crime is not only personal damage, but also it can damage whole society. It reinforces the senses of social responsibility and respect for laws in them. Through this method, the consequences of crime is understood on a large scale. For example, a person who committed a theft can explain how much damage he caused not only to the victim, but also to his own family.
In conclusion, I believe that this method is useful not only for society, but also for teachers and parents. In my opinion, the government can reduce the crime rates in the world through this way.
