These days, more and more people think that they have to visit to other countries to learn the culture of other people. While some people oppose this notion, I strongly agree that we can learn from films, internet and books.
On the one hand, films, books and internet can offer convenient and accessible way to study about various cultures without travelling to other places. It means that we can know about their culture by reading books and watching films. For example, history books provide detailed description of traditions, rituals and historical events which form cultures. Additionally, the internet allows instant access to variety of resources like articles. This helps individuals to learn other cultures by sitting at home.
On the other hand, not everyone can afford to travel because of financial and time problems. Traveling to other countries often requires a huge amount of money for tickets, accommodation, and other expenses which many people cannot afford. For instance, a trip to Europe might cost thousands of dollars, making it not accessible for students or low-income families. However, travelling requires breaks from work or studies which is impossible for people who work at big companies. For instance, a employee who work at full-time job may face difficulties to get enough vacations to visit foreign country. As a result, books films and the internet will be considered as time- efficient sources for learning culture.
In conclusion, while traveling offers valuable experiences, it is not essential to understand other cultures. Books, films, and the internet provide a cost-effective and time-efficient way to explore the world’s culture without leaving home.
