It is an irrefutable truth that technology has contributed significantly to education and is day by day surpassing all levels of enhancing it. Many people view it as a blessing, while others believe that it is deteriorating the education system. I personally feel that this is a great advantage to the education system, and my reasons are outlined below.
The primary reason to support my view is that, with the help of technology, education is just a click away. Nowadays, learning is available online in the form of e-books, online courses, audio materials, and videos. For instance, during the peak of the Covid-19 period, people relied on technology to continue their education. Moreover, there is no need to leave home or country for higher education, as it is readily available online through distance education services. Furthermore, one can utilise various search engines to conduct extensive research on a topic for information or to complete assignments. Thus, the use and involvement of technology in education cannot be neglected.
However, those who oppose technology also have a valid perspective. They believe that, because of technological advancements in the education system, youngsters are becoming less hardworking. Earlier, they used to conduct a lot of research to find solutions or reasons for various topics. Nowadays, they often seek help from AI for answers without investing the necessary effort beforehand. Hence, the younger generation has become impatient, reflecting a significant drawback of technological advancement.
In conclusion, I reiterate that the engagement of technology in the education system has more benefits than its side effects. It allows individuals to study from their homes and at their own pace.
