There is a widely common belief among people that technology gains in popularity in this contemporary society. In my opinion, I am strongly against that view for a number of reasons which will be outlined in this essay. Although technological advancements bring lots of advantages such as platforms, applications, and other gadgets to our life, it cannot totally supersede the teacher in school.
It is increasingly evident that there are certain reasons that can explain why technology positively impacts students’ learning process. First, technology can improve and promote learners’ academic development by the teachers utilizing several technological devices such as computers, televisions or numerous platforms and applications to assist them in the teaching process, making it easier for pupils to access and absorb knowledge efficiently. Furthermore, technological innovations are the knowledge pool that have the positive repercussions in students’ research and finding out information by themselves. This is also a huge material resource for pupils in all fields whenever they want. Taking advantage of technology is a good method for many self-study learners.
On the other hand, I am still of the firm opinion that technology replacing the importance of teachers is impossible . Teachers should be regarded as an indispensable part of the pupils’ learning process, even the gifted ones. One prominent point is that teachers play a crucial role as they are emotional beings who think, feel, and react. Thus they can easily realize and guess the thoughts through learners’ emotions, leading to students receiving countless support and encouragement from their instructors, since then, a combination between teachers and students can be formed so students develop efficiently in the best state. Moreover, playing a vital role as instructors-trainers who compensate for average-ability pupils or those who lack internal regulation or self-discipline. Essentially, teachers will work side by side with students as well as pushing and motivating their students so they can be diligent and strive in learning. The more difficult the lesson, the more repeated explanations by teachers, additionally, trainers will offer orientation and give them feedback after each course. Therefore, teachers are an indispensable part of learning progression.
In conclusion, no one can deny the importance of technology nowadays but from my point of view, teachers should be the center trainers for pupils because they can manage and assist learners better than technology.
