It is undeniable fact that technology has takes over the world. The discussion that televisions are leading makority of folks day to life and making their life sedentary and anti social has become a hot topic . I stronly agree with this statement . In my upcoming paragraphs I will discuss my view points on this notion.

To begin with, this trend is not only being followed by adulds but by youngsters as well; people come home from their hectic day and choose telly to unwind, feel relaxed or simply to kill their time. However, spending huge amount of time infront of TV can lead to several health issues including obesity, diabeties, week eye sight and high blood pressure. All these disorders and diseases start with very less or no physical activity at all. For instant, a survey was conducted in New York by a child obesity centre, that revealed that about 80 percent pupil’s obesity linked to seated lifestyle. Apart from that, it can also affects childrens’s learning ability as their attention span decreases with high exposure to TV, which in future can also effect their overall coginitive health.

Moreover, this makes people anti social and that is not for any good. Folks spends majority of their time on chatter box watching movies, series and other TV programs that they forget about the importance of social life. Furthermore, they are too attached to the telly world, and this path can take them towards depression, anxiety and panic attacks. As, they are completely disconnected with society, they have nobody to express their inner feelings.

To conclude, television is undoubtely ruling the leisure time of majority of people and this is concerning because it not only effects their physical health but their mental health as well. Although it is a good source of entertainment, it’s usuage should be in moderate.
