Nowadays, social media is becoming increasingly popular. For many people, especially young generations spend much of their time to the social media. However, there are both pros and cons to deciding to do this. In this essay, I will discuss some of reasons why mobile phones and social media easily affect people’s lives and what the disadvantages and advantages are.

Let’s begin by looking at the advantages of the impact of social media on society. The first advantage of using social platforms is that people can get a lot of essential information from their phones whenever they want. In the past, humans obtained information only from the radio or television. Furthermore, quickly accessing the problem via social media can make it easier to find a solution. The second advantage of utilizing social platforms is that many companies utilize advertising in order to get workers. Individuals who look for a job can find work on social media. Making advertisements on Instagram or Facebook is cheaper and easier than TV.

Secondly, spending too much time on social media can lead to some disadvantages. The first disadvantage is that people waste their time on phones and sometimes they do not have time to spend with their families. This action weakens the relationship among individuals and their families. Another negative influence is that young generations who waste their time on Instagram or other social platforms do not pay attention their home assignments and this action cause a decrease on their marks.

In conclusion, There are some advantages and disadvantages of utilizing social media, however I strongly believe that social platforms are essential for people’s lives.
