An average person’s health in the next few decades is more likely to improve rather than decrease in my opinion. The factors which might improve healthcare in our society outweigh the ones which will jeopardize it.
With advancements in the field of medicine occuring at a rate that is faster than ever, there is no doubt that healthcare is on a bright path. The cutting edge technology used in both labs and equipments are aiding the scholars of our generation to find the next best alternative to a solution. For instance, the use of Artificial Intelligence is proving to be crucial to the field, solving medical problems with greater accuracy as well as speed. These contributions will continue to come due to the increasing adaptation of technology worldwide and increasing enrolment of students into higher education across the globe. On the other hand, widespread knowledge verified by health professionals across social media platforms is providing vital information to the public- including practices on how to prevent the spread of diseases.
However, there are a lot of factors which are slowing down the growth: Overpopulation, misinformation, environmental impact(s), etc. It has become a struggle in a lot of countries to find proper land for housing, food for sufficient nutrition and job openings for a reasonable income. This problem is more prominent in developing countries where there is a stronger risk of public health issues. With the ever-growing need for faster transportation, modern vehicles are flocking the roads. With them they bring smog and carbon emissions, which not only cause air pollution but also contribute to global warming. Additionally, there have been countless cases of misinformation being spread on social media platforms by unverified sources, which contribute to misunderstanding as well as malpractice among the general population.
Although there are factors which hold back the growth of the standard of health, the factors causing it to grow will triumph at a greater scale. As is with science, there will always be a better alternative to the problems we face as of now.
