That is the view that raising the price of fuel can be a solution to environmental problems. While this suggestion sounds fair on the face of it, it entails several flaws. Therefore, I believe that the high cost of fuel is not the most sensible action.
That is true; this phenomenon can decrease the amount of carbon dioxide if enforced to do primary because one of the most key factors that can cause pollution is gasoline cars. For example,10% of the annual carbon footprint is manufactured by this type of transportation and is usually pronounced as the most main cause of environmental problems. Seemingly, this is a worthwhile action to do.
In my opinion, however well organized this idea is, this is not a sustainable solution to the problematic situations. Firstly, producing electricity has not advanced yet, and if everyone drives electric cars, we need a huge amount of energy supply to allocate enough for everyone. Moreover, the main resource to manufacture energy is still gas, and during the process of making energy, it also produces a huge volume of carbon dioxide.
If this suggestion is enrolled, which can cause a large demand for making electric cars, which is where car industries have to take action, they will manufacture a lot of cars to satisfy the world’s population. Consequently, in this process, a huge amount of carbon dioxide and other harmful gases spread more. Desire for energy supply coupled with producing more electric cars can make a larger carbon footprint than gasoline cars do.
In conclusion, it is true increasing the price of fuel might tackle environmental problems, but to me it is not the best option and also leads to more dangerous causes, as I mentioned.
