The pie charts illustrate the percentage of water usage (agriculture, industry, & domestic) for different purposes in six continents of the world (North America, South America, Europe, Africa, central Asia, and Southeast Asia). Overall, agriculture is the highest proportion of water utilization in all of the areas, while the domestic water usage is the lowest percentage in each area.
In terms of agriculture, central Asia, Southeast Asia, & Africa had the highest agricultural water consumption over 80%, followed by South America had the second largest percentage at 71%. Conversely, domestic consumption in Asia and Africa was the lowest, at 7% & 9%, respectively. Nevertheless, South America had the highest domestic consumption at 19%.
Regarding Industrial usage, Europe had the highest consumption of water in the industrial sector at 53%, In contrast, Europe had the lowest usage of water in the farming sector at 32%. Additionally, the consumption of water in North America for industrial purposes was nearly half of its total usage, while Central Asia had the lowest proportion of water used in the manufacturing sector, accounting for only a small percentage.
