In the contemporary era, the decline in the crime rate has been a matter of debate, with some arguing that technological advancements prevent the issue. In my opinion, I wholeheartedly advocate the viewpoint for two primary factors.
Primarily, technological enhancements can address crime prominently owing to their capacity to detect criminals. For instance, nowadays, thanks to evidence from CCTV cameras and sophisticated recognition software, the police force can swiftly identify criminals, facilitating their investigations. Particularly, information such as addresses, images, and family can be easily acquired through such technological tools, enabling cops to examine cases more effectively than in the past, when it was completely based on the comments of witnesses. Thus, innovations in technology allow police officers to catch lawbreakers in a fraction of time, maintaining and fostering equilibrium and safety for society. On top of that, if high-tech cameras are employed in every corner such as in neighborhoods, individuals who possess an intention to break the law will hesitate to conduct bad actions. This is because it can raise the likelihood of getting into jail, thereby deterring people from engaging in adverse activities.
Moreover, due to the function of tracking down criminals, enhancements in technology can significantly mitigate the number of crimes. A notable instance is GPS devices, which can relatively identify the locations of everything, have assisted investigators in seeking traces of lawbreakers. As a result, utilizing the precise locations provided allows police officers to develop optimal strategies in order to arrest the perpetrators. Hence, all lawbreakers will be sentenced, thereby resulting in a decline in the crime rate and contributing to a sustainable community.
In conclusion, I firmly approve of the perspective that technological improvements have lowered the proportion of crimes because of GPS equipment and CCTV cameras. Therefore, such advanced tools maintain the level of safety for residents, facilitating nations as a whole.
