Band 5+: The diagram below shows the floor plan of a public library 20 years ago and how it looks now.

Note: Both the topic and the essay were created by one of our users.

The given picture shows the development and rearrangement of a public library of 20 years ago and now. Overall, the old library is modernized with the addition of self-service machines. The addition of a café has been made with the rearrangement adult fiction book section.

Twenty years ago, the central library has typical layout. The section of CDs, computer games and videos were at the top left corner. Adult fiction books were placed below to this section. Below to this place, there was a reading room containing magazines and newspaper. Children books section was on the right top corner. The bottom of right corner has non- fiction books. Moreover, with the entrance, there was an enquiry desk. Tables and chairs were placed in the center of both right and left sections.

Today, the top left corner of CDs and games is replaced with story telling and children non-fiction books with the presence of two sofas. Adult fiction book is shifted to the right bottom and all reference books are placed in that section. Information desk along with self service machines is designed between the lecture room and café that is with the entrance point.
