A car, innovated in 1888, has become an integral part of our world. It is estimated that the number of cars will reach 29 million in 2000. I completely agree that other types of vehicles which fit more passengers should be promoted and legal intervention on an international level is required.
More vehicles with higher number of sits are ought to be encouraged, as this will save space on the roads and prevent congestions. Ever since owning cars became popular, the roads have suffered immensely. because if before 20 people could fit in one bus which size is of 2 cars, now with all these people having their private transport, a line of 20 cars can stretch across a whole street and cause traffic. For example, a recent study concluded that if the trend of car ownership prevails, then by 2030 the traffic’s regularity and longevity will rise by 79%.
Nations from all over the world must interfere with this uprising issue by ccreating new set of laws on owning cars and using them. Every country is going to be affected if no action is taaken and unless citizens are faced with consequences, they will continue exploiting accessibility of cars on the market. For instance, Brazil’s government has recently tried to minimize the number of cars for sale, but seeing that there isn’t a law prohibiting it, thus thinking there won’t be a serious punishment, many small businesses kept profiting from the distribution of cars.
In conclusion, I believe government of each state needs to be involved and take legal action to prevent possible problems, at the same time people should seek substitutes for cars that are more practical.
