The most preferred way to observe an individual is through judging them on their first appearance. In my opinion, I disagree with this statement. Firstly, one should not rush to reach a conclusion about others. Secondly, society should learn to stop making judgments about people.
On the one hand, it is essential to give people the time they need to become comfortable instead of judging them at the beginning. In other words, not everyone is skilled in social communication or can make conversation fluently; sometimes a person needs space to become comfortable around others in order to interact confidently. Furthermore, people are not what they usually appear to be in their first meeting; they can seem gentle or wicked at first, but in reality, they can be completely opposite. For instance, some of our friends whom we thought were rude and arrogant later become our best friends.
On the other hand, these days, our society has become habitual in passing judgments on people without realizing the negative impact of their words on an individual’s personality. This prevailing culture of judging others is increasing day by day and resulting in complex mental health issues. Moreover, individuals, in order to protect themselves from judgment, try to avoid making conversation. Such societal conditions affect their communication skills and cause them to overthink before doing anything. For instance, the culture of judging YouTubers or influencers has become extremely common, which has created an inferiority complex among the masses.
In conclusion, making decisions about people based on a first meeting should be avoided. It is extremely important to give individuals some understanding and a friendly environment. Also, society needs to learn how to be polite towards others.
