It is thought that the international community should act immediately to reduce the consumption of fossil fuels. Although I admit that increasing, using of carbon-based fuels could be beneficial for the environment, I believe that such problem could not be managed immediately and takes consistent and gradual improvements.
Admittedly, consumption of fossil fuels became a real issue, because afterwards of this consumption are growing carbon emissions. This lead to a many ecological problems and greenhouse effect is the most known among them. Carbon dioxide hitting atmosphere, which affects climate change and create ecological disasters, such as floods or glaciar melting. Some animals, plants and insects in danger now because they cannot adapt for it. If we decrease using of fossil fuels it would help to tackle with greenhouse effect/
However, I do not think that they could be any immediate actions towards this problem, because it is involve too many parties with contradictory interests. It should be consistent and gradual improvements, step by step. Firstly, there should be international legal framework, which would define the amount of the redaction. Without it, some countries would decreasing consumption of fossil fuels while others would increasing it respectively. Secondly, they should be affordable substitutes, because businesses and infrastructure needs energy sources. For example, an electric vhiecles more ecological friendly than fuel ones, but their production is limited because of lack of raw materials. Finally, different countries have different features, which make them more or less depend on fossil fuels usage. Thus, why I do not tend to think that there could be any immediate actions to reduce fossil fuels.
In conclusion, I agree that reducing fuels consumption is measure, which should be taken to prevent spreading of greenhouse effect. Although it more like to be a long process than some immediate actions.
