In the contemporary era, the number of substandard food has elevated significantly. It is, thus, presented by certain people that government intervention is necessary to promote healthy diet, while others put the responsibility on the shoulder of citizens. This passage believes neither viewpoints hold more importance in promoting a healthy eating among the populace.
Given the extensive influence on the regulations on the food manfacturing, the government bear the stewardship to ensure individuals a healthy diet. As individuals or enterprises have no right to set rules on the food manufacturing process, only the government can enact regulations and their policies which directly shapes the nation’s food environment, ranging from what is produced, how it’s processed to the extent to which addictives is added, thus can substantially compel the producers to ensure healthy products. Especially, in the era of fraud food when without such limitations, individuals, though being health-concious, may inadvertently consume substandard or even detrimental products when finding themselves no alternatives, thereby highlighting the indispensable role of governmental intervention in this issue.
Conversely, individuals also bear a paramount duty in having a healthy diet owing to them being the direct consumer. This personal responsibility is indispensable, as ultimately, individuals are the ones who make the choices to purchase and consume food , especially, in this era of fraud food. However, with this personal freedom coupled with the diverse choices available with both high and low quality food, individuals would be put at th risk of intaking unhealthy products, especially in this era where diverse choices of foodarre available with both high and low quality food. While the government can, to a certain extent, ameliorate the food environment, with a lack of consumer cooperation, efforts to promote healthier eating will fall short as they may choose things reliant on their convenience or preference. As a result, the ultimate cultivation of healthy or unhealthy diet rests with the citizens themselves.
In conclusion, I firmly assert my contention that building a robust dietary portion for individuals necessitates the equivalent involvement of both government and individuals’ accountability, hence should be conducted and perceived in a similar extent
