I firmly agree with this notion of ensuring safety and taking action to protect users from the dangers of internet.
Internet has become a common commodity, used it every houseold. This also comes with few downsides, such as cyber crime and fraudlent activites. Majority of internet users have been hacked or scammed, making it evident that people are affected by these hackers. For example, many elderly’s have a hard time in figuring out technology, but they still use it to access their bank and buy things online. Many hackers target older citizens due their lack of knowledge about internet making them vulnerable and easy targets.
Government taking actions to subside cyber crime is a great way to ensure safety. This can be done by educating elderlies about technology and the potential threats they will face. Making them ready to face these problems in future and combact them with ease, while government also works on catching the perpetrators. For example, In United States there were enourmous amount of senior citizens losing their pension money from scam calls and phising links. To prevent further damage the government stepped in and taught the elderly’s about staying proctected online and also ensured to catch the perpretators behind this massive heist.
In conclusion, the technological bloom also comes with use downsides such as scams and cyber crimes, but there are far more positives compared to the negatives. So it is better to combact this issue by educating the victims and taking proper actions on the people behind scams and cyber crime by the government.
