Overall, it can be clearly seen that the proportion of businesses and financial services showed a significant increase. While the impact of agriculture and manufacturing sectors declined dramatically at the end of the given period.
In 1900, the agriculture and manufacturing segments contributed around 46% and 48%, respectively, whereas the business and financial services sectors gained about 2%. In the years 1950 and 1975, manufacturing decreased to 40 and 36 percent, while agriculture reached its highest point at approximately 53%, but in 1975, this rate decreased significantly to 10%. Also, the contribution from trade and financial services increased slightly to 22% in 1975.
In 2000, the manufacturing sector’s contribution declined by about 18%, whereas the contribution of the agriculture segment dropped only to 1%. By contrast, the business and financial sectors peaked at fewer than 40%.
