There is a widespread belief that physical shops will disappear in the future, because online shopping overtook the popularity of regular shopping. I respectfully dissent from this view and contend that individuals will always need shops for numerous compelling motives, including but not limited to: it brings a sense of joyness, it is time-saving, it is easier to check the quality of items, and you always can try on clothes.
First and foremost, the majority of people gravitate towards purchasing something in malls, because simply browsing the shops undoubtedly makes them feel elated or even ecstatic. Light music, pleasant atmosphere and friendly shop assistants drive people to spend more time in the stores. Moreover, in case of an emergency you can quickly buy your essentials without waiting for delivery. For instance, one time I was unexpectedly invited to the wedding and I had only one day to choose my attire and a local shop welcomed me and literally made my day better, because of high-level service and the possibility to buy the dress immediately.
In addition, physical boutiques or shops provide the opportunity to check the quality of your future purchasing as you can visually see and touch them. What is even more important, offline shopping allows you to try on clothes and make sure they suit you. For example, there is always a chance of getting the wrong size, color of your purchase when shopping online.
In conclusion, while online shopping is believed to be less time-consuming, regular stores have many merits, you can always buy items that are available, check their quality characteristics and get a piece of advice from staff members. Therefore, from my perspective, growth of online shops will not result in closing stores.
