It is sometimes debated that whether should the international committee take action promptly to make all nations to rely less on the usage of fossil fuels. Indeed, reducing usage of fossil fuels have many benefits to humanity in many ways. but in my opinion, it would be unrealistic for all countries to comply to it.
On the one hand, developed countries should reduce fossil fuels, because they usaully consume much more fuels compared to developing countries. Citizens of developed world tend to have higher income and they do not have the habit to skimp on energy usage. Additionally there are more cars running on the roads in these countries, to address this problem, citizens can ride bicycles for short-distance trips and use public transportation for long-distance trips. Furthermore, people can switch their fuel-consumed cars to electric cars, which could reduce usage of fossil fuels.
On the other hand, it is unviable for developing countries to following this rule. Firstly, most developing countries mainly rely on thermal generation for power, and lack of nuclear power plant which is not based on fossil fuel. Secondly in these developing countries, the mojor industry is manufacturing, which require abundant power to opperate. If the international committee made them to use fossil fuels on ration, it will impact their economy, causing it to stagnate, and many factory workers will also lose their jobs due to it.
In conclusion, reducing less fossil fuels can bring many advantages to the world. But I believe The internation committee should ensure the developed countries to use less fossil fuels, and leave the other countries alone.
