Globalization has undoubtedly revolutionized the way we read online because it enables readers to gain free and unlimited access to a variety of materials. Nevertheless, books or newspaper will be unnecessary in the near future. From my point of view, I absolutely agree with the statement, and I will explain two main reasons and provide examples to support my opinion.
To begin with, there will be more educated netizens in the society. The reason is because knowledge is spread online through free learning materials. For example, you can download pdf files about a certain lesson online without worrying about the need to pay. This helps motivate people to be curious about the world and keep learning, resulting in a higher number of competent experts who can contribute to the society and transform the world into a better place in the near future.
Furthermore, printed copies are not portable. Merely a mountain of books is adequate for a single research project. However, if everything can be downloaded and saved in an unwieldy and portable electronic device, such as a laptop or a tablet, it will be more convenient for both students and people in the workforces.
In light of aforementioned, knowledge should not solely be limited in printed materials; it should be globally introduced, particularly online. Combining the fact that free reading materials online can be used by a higher amount of learners to extend their potential and can be transferred to a variety of places easily, printed copies are undeniably unnecessary in this world.
