In modern world where e-books and free online sources of information are becoming accessible for everyone, usage of paid printed materials such as books or newspaper is going to be less common in the future. I completely agree with this statement for reasons such as convenience and environmental benefits.
Firstly, it is important to consider that reading electronic materials is much more convenient than reading physical books. Online resources can be found easily, news is often published instantly online as soon as events take place, you can read them everywhere in any time. For example, a lot of people read online articles and daily news while commuting, cooking or studying. That is the initial reason why i believe that internet recourse are going to replace printed ones further in the future.
Another significant reason is that the production of printed books and newspapers leads to serious environmental issues such as deforestation and air pollution. In order to produce a large amount of paper for printed materials, it is necessary to cut trees down, which means that the level of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere increases dramatically, thereby causing climate changes. Moreover, deforestation is the reason why a vast majority of animals loose their natural inhabitant and this can lead to instabilities in ecosystem.
Taking everything into consideration, it is clear that web-based resources are likely to replace traditional learning materials in the future due to their convenience and lower environmental impact.
