In today’s fast-paced world, the assertion that technology brings immense changes to access free reading resources is causing an impact on books or newspaper marketing. This essay partially agrees with this statement. I will discuss this trend with certain reasons.
To commence with, digital transformation enables multiple resources of studying (reading, listening, writing or speaking) for people. To take YouTube and educational websites as examples of distance learning. These are not only saving people’s time and money, also helping with work-life balance. Therefore, a 9- 5 worker does not have sufficient time for further study or upgrading skills, and they can utilize their extra time in studying at home or on weekends. Moreover, they can also boost their skills through cost-effective online courses for employee wellbeing, economic stability and career advancements.
Although academic platforms are replacing books or newspapers’ marketing and causing useless purchases for individuals, they can not completely take the place of their value and importance in people’s lives. Hence, it is only feasible to take full access to online learning with websites, PDFs, or other material if they own their android phones. However, digital devices are unaffordable for underprivileged people, and they can only read or study from second-hand, cheap books or through public libraries. Which means digital study material can not cause the disappearance of books, magazines or newspapers’ value and importance in a juvenile’s life.
In conclusion, even though virtual study material is free of cost, but the access of these materials by phone and internet package is not under the reach of the students. Which is why it is undeniable that the value and importance of the books and newspaper is irreplaceable.
