It is true that the technology advancements have been improving the ways people seek for information. However, digital also creates numerous challenges in the contemporary world and they should be tackled by a number of effective solutions from the government.
On the one hand, as the crimes are increasing, there are several related problems that can be anticipated. The main issue is high-tech criminals, who not only affect the social security order but also cause appropriate property. In fact, people who don’t have a robust quality protection for their account can inevitably be attacked by the hackers, including illegal intrusion to rob the money in bank accounts. This is due to individual’s carelessness in revealing private data when surfing the Internet or social media platforms. Another issue is due to the spread of fake news. In other words, the cyber criminals utilize violent content relating to terrorism or reactionary posts to cause misunderstandings among citizens, which will help them achieve their detrimental purposes effortlessly.
On the other hand, since such issues are serious, several measures could be taken to alleviate these problems, which are cyber awareness raising and reporting the cyber bully. First and foremost, the government can run campaigns to raise citizens’ awareness of the harmful effects on digital platforms. These workshops could be carried out in universities or workplaces which are indispensable training sessions. Furthermore, individuals should also report the cyber bully to the authorities to ban and arrest them. As a result, these co-operated actions will make the Internet cleaner and safer for people to confidently study and work without frightening of cyber thieves.
In conclusion, while the Internet can exert serious effects on people’s privacy and misleading information, these can be solved with awareness campaigns and thieves’ reports. From my perspective, people should carefully use Internet platforms and make use of these potential sources of information.
