Some people believe that many organizations should lead by elder individuals, while others argue that younger people may actually make better managers. In my opinion, both age groups can play crucial roles in management, young people with their innovation and elder individuals with their valuable experiences.
In today’s world, the younger generations have the potential to play a constructive role in leading organizations through their diligence and innovation. These two qualities can help them to have a better understanding of any situation. Moreover, their age allows them to be more open-minded and receptive to new ideas. Apart from youth innovation, they are also known as the technology generation as they were born and raised in the era of technology that gives them access to updated information that can be practical in running a business.
On the other hand, older managers have more experience so they could face difficulties more properly. They have face numerous challenges and failures, which have contributed to their valuable experience. This enables them to share their knowledge and find solutions when faced with problems.. Additionally, some organizations may more trust in senior managers due to their age. They assume that senior leaders will make fewer mistakes and are more likely to collaborate with them.
To sum up, both age groups have their own strengths and can be effective in their own ways. I believe that collaboration between them would be even more effective, as the younger generation can bring innovative ideas while the older managers’ experience is crucial for achieving success
