Band 6+: The manufacturing and use of cars damages the environment but their popularity is increasing. Why is this? How could this be controlled?

Note: Both the topic and the essay were created by one of our users.

Despite of the production and consumption of vehicles have negative effect on the environment, their popularity is gradually growing. In my view, cause of this issue is public transport’s uncomfortableness and some benefits of owning a car. To address this, governments should improve the conditions of the public transportation and the companies should produce more electric vehicles.

To start with, having a car has several advantages and these encourages

people to buy it. First, an automobile provides freedom in movement, because persons can do their businesses faster and it does not depend on the other people as in mass transit. Moreover, your car means your privacy, so nobody bothers you like in mass transport, because there are usually many people, who violate your boundaries, by being rude or with physical touch. Lastly, in public transit, not every individual can sit because of overcrowding, so to reach the destination, they just stand during the whole road

To decrease the popularity of cars, the condition of the public transportation service has to be enhanced. For example, by providing more comfortable chairs, thus nobody will stand. The closer stops and faster driving can also improve some parts of the transportation. Furthermore, to diminish harm to the environment, electronic cars are considered to be eco-friendly as it does not use fuel. For that reason, the manufacture of such as cars like Tesla should be encouraged and advertised more.

In conclusion, the increase of popularity in usage and production of motors has caused damage to the ecology. This is because of the comfortableness of cars. and mass transit’s flaws. By improving public transport system and encouraging electric cars, this movement could be controlled.
