The illustrated maps depict the information about how the central part of Islip town is going to change in future. Overall, Islip centre will undergo several changes, including the development of the road and adding new facilities.
According to the plan, the current placement of the main road goes between shops and has two paths which leads to school on the left and park on the right. In the renovated area the road will be modernized into a dual carriageway which will look like a circle with new places inside. Next, countryside located in the northern part is planned to be demolished.
Other changes are that the shops on right side of the main road will be converted into new facilities such as bus station, parking and new accommodations. As well as this, a road for pedestrians only is likely to appear in the future. Finally, park that is situated on the east side of the centre, it will be reduced in space, while shops, school and housings below this will remain the same location.
