This is a growing trend in which people are migrating to cities to work and this is leading to serious problems in both areas. While the trend of moving to cities can contribute to traffic jams and expensive housing, I personally believe these problems can effectively be solved by increasing funds for the development of the villages and enhancing employability in rural areas.
One significant problem of migration is that when many people from agricultural areas relocate to cities, traffic congestion may arise. As many people are moving to cities in a search of better jobs, educational opportunities, and improved living conditions, the urban population increases rapidly. Not all of them have cars, but those who do bring their own vehicles, which can lead to traffic congestion on the roads. As a result, in streets occurring serious pressure on the transport system and leading to frequent traffic jams. The direct results of this are not only confined to increased air pollution but also extend excessive honking. However, if many people migrate to cities, there is a decline in the population in villages. Over time, this can lead to situation where there are very few people left in villages. This is problem because essential activities such as a farming may decline, and local communities can disappear. In the long term, some villages may even become completely abandoned. As a result, the economic and social benefits of villages may significantly decline or even disappear.
These problems can be tackled by improving job opportunities and educational facilities. If the government improves job opportunities and educational facilities not only in cities but also in villages, fewer people will move to urban areas for work or study. This is because many parents prefer their children to study in large, modern, and well-developed places. By improving schools and creating better employment opportunities in rural areas, people may choose to stay in their hometowns instead of relocating. Encouraging young entrepreneurs to open their businesses in rural areas can be an effective solution. Many employers have a desire of creating their companies in urban places due to the high level of consumerism and this directly hints that villages usually do not have enough money to grow economically.
In conclusion, improving job opportunities and educational facilities in areas can reduce migration to cities and help maintain balanced development between urban and rural regions.
