According to some people perspective the only solution to plummet the amount of traffic in cities nowadays is by decreasing the need for people to travel from home for work, education or for shoopping. In my point of view I agree to this solution for some extent because it is not the soul solution of the problem.
Firstly, it is eaiser for people to have all the required services at the least distance possible, which can help reduce the travel time as well as the traffic in the cities. Thus increases the efficency of work in the companies, and also discards the maximum amount of pollutants from the atmosphere. For example, in Alaska its 100% population lives in one building that contains all the facilities like hospitals, schools, companies, shopping stores and other which cuts down the travel requirement.
Secondly, this method is only efficient in the cities with small amount of population and fails to work for cities with more number of citizens. The main reason can be the environmental damage as it is not possible to have all the reqired facilities at our door steps. If it is available then environment is being compromised. But it can be achieved by promoting the public transport by the government, which people will only use if it provides the basic facilities and no time delayes. For example, in Mumbai most of the job employees and students prefer to travel by train or bus rather than using their own vehicle to reach their work place or school.
In conclusion, the proposed method is only applicable for cities with less number of citizens living there, and it fails to perform at the cities with large amount of population.
