Living in a digitalized world, more and more personal information of many customers is being leaked by a number of companies and organizations. From my perspective, I believe that the negative aspects are more noticeable than the positive effects.
To begin with, most companies collect customer’s personal information for commercial purposes rather than customer services’ improvement. However, these companies use this information to sell for the third part the earn money or calling to advertise their new products and services. For example, most technology stores or enterprises in Vietnam selling technological devices such as Dienmayxanh, Thegioididong or CellphoneS often use customer’s phone numbers to call for customers and sell their services. As a result, it is extremely annoying for people having to receive a lot of calls every single day.
In addition, it will be more dangerous for people’s personal information data to be hacked to cybercrimes who proceed to use the victim’s identity for fraudulent behaviors. For instance, there are many dangerous situations in whichVietnamese hackers use fake individual information such as face identity, fingerprint, and secretly QR codes to access a customer’s bank account and steal a huge amount of money.
In conclusion, it seems to me that sharing personal identity for enterprises and organizations may bring some benefits but this issue can ultimately be faced by a huge number of disadvantaged situations for people.
