Band 7+: The plans below show a harbour in 2000 and how it looks today.

Note: Both the topic and the essay were created by one of our users.

The structural design of Porth Harbor as it appeared in 2000 shows significant changes that have taken place over the years up to the present. Overall, it is evident that Porth Harbor has undergone drastic transformations, including the addition of a hotel, car park, and private yacht marina, while some features, such as the lifeboat and public beach, remain unchanged.

Firstly, new facilities such as showers and toilets have been added in the southwest area, which were absent in earlier designs. Additionally, there has been a relocation of the fishing boats and the marina, with the marina now situated where the fishing boats used to be. The car park, which was previously connected to a side road, is now linked directly to the main road.

Secondly, the size of the dock has increased significantly compared to the past. In the southeast direction, the public beach has been transformed into a private beach, and the old castle has been replaced by a hotel, providing an enhanced view of the harbor. Furthermore, a café and several shops have been established, while the lifeboat facilities remain unchanged.
